In the 26th match of PSL 8, thanks to Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant century, Lahore Qalandars outclassed Islamabad United and defeated them by a huge margin of 119 runs.
Lahore Qalandars secured a place in the qualifiers after defeating Islamabad United. The other team will play Kafisala on Sunday.
In the match played in Olpindi, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and decided to bat first and Lahore Qalandars scored 226 runs for the loss of 5 players.

Fakhrzaman played a brilliant innings of 115 runs off 57 balls with the help of 8 sixes and 8 fours. Kamran Ghulam scored 41 runs and Sam Billings scored 32 runs. David Wisa was out for 6 and Abdullah Shafiq was out with one run, Rashid Khan remained not out with 15 runs.

Chasing 227 runs, Islamabad United collapsed by scoring only 107 runs in the 16th overs. On behalf of Lahore Qalandars, Rashid Khan took 4 wickets, while Zaman Khan and Haris Rauf took 2, 2 wickets and David Wiese got 1 wicket. Fakhar Zaman was named player of the match thanks to his brilliant century.
After defeating Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars have secured a place in the PSL qualifiers. The second qualifier team will be decided in the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United on Sunday.
