Fear of No-Confidence Motion, Speaker NA Accepts another 35 PTI’s Members Resignation

Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf accepted the resignations of 70 MNAs in 4 days after PTI announced its return to the assembly and threatened to bring a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister.

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has accepted the resignations of 35 more members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), while three days ago the resignations of 35 MNAs were accepted.

Speaker of National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has accepted the resignation of 35 more members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at the same time as the parliamentary session of PTI is going on in Frontier House Islamabad.

Speaker National Assembly has sent the copies of acceptance of resignations of 35 MNAs of PTI to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) so that it will take further action and de-notify the said members.

The Speaker accepted the resignations of Dr. Haider Ali Khan elected from NA-2, Saleem Rehman from NA-3, Sahibzada Subbatullah from NA-5, Mehboob Shah from NA-6, and Bashir Khan from NA-7.

The resignations of Member of Assembly Junaid Akbar, Sher Akbar Khan, Ali Khan Jadoon, Engineer Usman Khan Tarkai, Mujahid Ali, Arbab Amir Ayub, Sher Ali Arbab, Shahid Ahmed, Gul Dad Khan, Sajid Khan, Amir Mehmood Kayani have also been accepted. .

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has also accepted the resignations of Syed Faizul Hasan, Shaukat Ali Bhatti, M Umar Aslam Khan, Amjad Khan, Khurram Shahzad, Faizullah, Malik Karamat Khokhar, Syed Fakhr Imam, Zahoor Hussain Qureshi.

Raja Pervez Ashraf today accepted the resignation of 35 members of Tehreek-e-Insaf National Assembly when the meeting of PTI’s parliamentary party is going on in which Imran Khan is present through video link.

PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi is presiding over the ongoing meeting at the Frontier House in Islamabad, in which the party’s strategy to return to the National Assembly is being considered.

On behalf of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, President Arif Alvi was asked to ask Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to take a vote of confidence because Shehbaz Sharif has lost his power in the National Assembly.

The Speaker had accepted the resignations of 35 PTI MNAs on January 17 after the PTI announced its return to the Assembly and threatened to move a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister.

The Speaker of the Lower House, Raja Pervez Ashraf, had accepted the resignations of 35 members three days ago, while 35 have been accepted today, after which only 35 members of Tehreek-e-Insaf remained in the House.
