Muzzafarabad: The Funeral prayers of seven innocent civilians have been offered in their ancestral areas on Saturday, who lost their lives in Indian firing and shelling in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
According to the State Disaster Management Authority, at least 47 people were also injured in the incident.
The Indian shelling caused the most casualties in the Neelum Valley, where six people, including two girls were killed.
Officials say 60 animals have also been killed, while 20 shops have been completely destroyed in the indiscriminate firing and shelling. The damage is estimated in millions.
With the changing weather, currently raining and snowing on the high mountains of Neelum and Lepa valleys, which will further aggravate the plight of the victims.
Two girls have been killed in Grace Valley of Neelum Valley. One’s body was shattered by bullets, she died on spot, while another was died in hospital. The firing and shelling was so intensive that people were unable to carry injured.
The people demanded the world community to resolve this issue immediately and peacefully as Kashmiris on both sides are dying.
According to him, a total of 353 houses have been completely destroyed since January, 810 houses are partially destroyed, while 365 cattle have been killed and 22 shops are completely destroyed.
