LAHORE: The funeral prayers for Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi was offered at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore on Saturday.

As in the footage captured by News360, the greater Iqbal Park and surroundings got filled to the brim with attendees of the funeral.

They were chanting “Labbiak Ya Rasullah” slogans before offering the deceased’s funeral prayers.

As disciples headed to attend TLP chief’s funeral prayers, traffic snarl-ups were witnessed on different thoroughfares in Lahore.

Strict security arrangements were made on Multan Road for funeral prayers.

Earlier on Thursday, Allama Khadim Rizvi was rushed to Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore after his health suddenly deteriorated.

Khadim Rizvi’s Political Background

The death of Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) Chief Khadim Hussian Rizvi in Lahore has certainly closed an enigmatic phenomenon in the political sphere of Pakistan.

TLP was founded in 2015 as a political front for Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYP).

In three years, the firebrand party chief elevated it to new highs and TLP emerged as one of the biggest parties in terms of votes.

Although the party did not win many seats across the country in the 2018 general elections.

However, TLP garnered a whopping 2.2 million votes just three years after jumping into the political sphere.

TLP Chief Rizvi could be picked out as a political leader whose party had the street power.

He went for five sit-ins in the federal capital from first in 2017 and the last being in November this year.
