George Clooney rules out going into politics

George Clooney ruled out yesterday having a second career in politics. He assured that he would rather have a good life and that he seeks to reduce his workload.
However, the 60-year-old actor-director touched on politics in an interview with the BBC’s Andrew Marr. Clooney, a longtime supporter of United States President Joe Biden, described that nation as still recovering from the damage caused by Donald Trump.
When asked if he intended to run for office, Clooney was quick to dismiss the idea.

Clooney added that he planned to do fewer projects while he’s healthy and can still “play basketball and do the things that I love.
I turned 60 this year and I had a conversation with my wife that we were working hard, and I said we have to think of these as the happy years. In two decades, I’ll be 80 and it’s a real number. No matter how much you exercise, what you eat, you are 80 years old and that is why I pointed out that we have to make sure that we enjoy and live these years in the best possible way, he said.
Clooney shrugged off concerns about Biden’s falling poll numbers, commenting that he is still struggling with Trump’s legacy.
It’s like taking a battered child and thinking that everything will be fine on their first day at school. There are many things that have to be fixed; it is necessary to heal and it will take time, said the actor.
Trump remains a factor in US politics, he pointed out. He added that he hopes the Americans will have a little more common sense than to return him to the White House.
“He is very funny, because he was an idiot. I knew him before he was president. He was just a guy who chased girls. Every time you went out, he would say, ‘What’s that young woman’s name?’ That’s all she was, ”George Clooney emphasized.
