Hardik Pandya’s luxury watches seized at Mumbai airport

The Mumbai’s Customs Department had seized two luxury wrist watches allegedly worth 5 crores from Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya on his arrival from Dubai at the airport. It is alleged that the cricketer had not bill receipt of the watches.

Indian media quoting the customs department reported that the cricketer allegedly did not have the bill receipt of the watches.

 

The Indian team had landed at the Mumbai airport on Monday after the T20 World Cup from Dubai. Hardik Pandya was part of the Indian squad.

On the other hand, taking to Twitter, the Indian player had cleared that the actual cost of the watches is 1.5 crore Indian rupees and not 5 crore.

He said that all the allegations against him are unfounded.

In 2020, cricketer Krunal Pandya, the brother of Hardik Pandya,  was also stopped at the Mumbai International Airport for allegedly carrying undisclosed gold and other valuable items.
