Actor Heath Freeman has surprisingly died at age 41, as confirmed by model Shanna Moakler on Instagram. The two apparently had a close friendship.
The cause of death is not yet clear. Freeman was best known for his roles on numerous television series, including “Bones” and “NCIS.”
“With a broken heart I learned of the loss of my dear friend Heath Freeman, a talented actor, director, producer, excellent cook and good friend,” Moakler, 46, writes in a joint photo of her and Freeman. “We will miss you so much and cherish every incredible memory we have… and we have so many great ones!”

“Pretty Little Liars” star Ashley Benson also said goodbye to Freeman in an Instagram story. “I love you forever. Rest in peace, “she says in a photo in which the 31-year-old kisses her on the cheek.
Freeman studied film and acting at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York and later attended the University of Texas at Austin. In 2003 he took on the role of Benjamin Frank on the hit television series “NCIS”. From 2005 to 2007 he played Howard Epps on the television series “Bones,” which made him known to a wider audience. Freeman also worked as a producer and writer, including for the movie “Skateland – Times Are Changing” with Ashley Greene.
