Hilarious tweets: Ali Aftab Saeed slams govt over hours-long loadshedding

Singer, comedian Ali Aftab Saeed has slammed the present government over failure to control the menace of loadshedding in Lahore.

Singer and comedian Ali Aftab Saeed has slammed the present government over the failure to control the menace of loadshedding in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, through a series of hilarious tweets.

Ali Aftab Saeed initiated posting tweets on June 17, 3:05 am, saying, “Eff You #LESCO #MissYouImranKhan.”

On a lighter note, he said that there might be loadshedding occurring at the residences of some English-medium journalists but they will not let the people know due to the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government.

The comedian had seemingly spent the whole day amid a power outage in Lahore and kept tweeting and tagging institutions regarding the loadshedding. He tweeted, “No light since 11 pm. Sir kidhar phassa diya hai @OfficialDGISPR?”

“This is an electronic petition to bring back Lt-Gen Muzzamil Hussain as Chairman Wapda. Please sign by Quote RTing with your initials. We need as many as possible to make our voice heard at the #IMF,” read another tweet.

“Dear #IMF, there’s no electricity for the past 15 hours. Please help.”

“Dear @POTUS, there’s been no electricity for the past 15 hours. LESCO  helpline nos also not responding. Please help.”

“19 hours without electricity. @Edhiorg please help”, “No electricity for almost 22 hours. @amnesty pls help”, “No electricity for 22 hours. @hrw @UNHumanRights @HRC @hrcberkeley pls help”

After the end of the power outage, Saeed tweeted at 12:57 am June 18, saying “Light is back. After exactly 26 hrs and 30 mins. Thanks everyone for your concern and support.”

The whole country is facing hours-long power outages due to a massive increase in the electricity shortfall amid extremely hot weather, on the other hand, the PML-N government is seemingly failing to address the issue.
