Former Pakistan speed star Shoaib Akhtar has said that he had forgiven Dr Noman Niaz for the honour of the nation and national institutions.
The fast bowler said this while speaking on Geo News show “Jashan-e-Cricket”.
He said although the TV host had not directly apologised to him but his indirect apology had been conveyed to him.
Akhtar said that he had forgiven Dr. Noman for the honour of the nation and national institutions. “I resigned from PTV Sports so that no other star face such an insulting situation in future,” he added.
He was of the view that the national star should be not treated like this on the national TV.

Earlier, Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar had announced his resignation from the PTV Sports show after being insulted by anchor Dr Noman Niaz during a live TV programme.
The former speed star was insulted in a live show in which not only Pakistani cricket legends, including Aqib Javed, Rashid Latif, Umar Gul, Azhar Mahmood were participating but also former West Indian star batter Vivian Richards and former English captain David Gower.

Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar credited the Pakistan’s victory against New Zealand to fast bowler Haris Rauf and Lahore Qalandars’ Player Development Program for his outstanding performance in the T20 World Cup on PTV Sport’s “Game on Hai” programme.
TV host Dr Noman Niaz did not like the praise of Lahore Qalandars or perhaps Haris Rauf and during the live show and asked the star fast bowler to leave the show. To which, Shoaib Akhtar announced his resignation from PTV programme and left the show.
