ICC T20 World Cup: England Defeated India and Qualified for Final Match

Adelaide Oval: In the second semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup, England eliminated the Indian champions from the title race. The teams Pakistan and England will compete in the final on Sunday.

In the second semi-final played at the Adelaide Oval, England chased down India’s target of 169 runs without losing and defeated India by 10 wickets.

Both the opening batsmen of Team England remained unbeaten. Josh Bulter remained unbeaten on 80 off 49 balls while Alex Hales remained unbeaten on 87 off 47 balls.

Earlier, England won the toss and invited India to bat first. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India. However, India’s first wicket fell on the score of 9, when KL Rahul was dismissed for 5 runs off 5 balls.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma played confidently to take the score to 56. Rohit Sharma was caught out, faced 28 balls, and scored 27 runs.

India’s third wicket returned to the pavilion at 75 when Surya Kumar Yudev was dismissed for 14 off 10 balls.

The fourth wicket fell on a total score of 136. The fourth out batsman was Virat Kohli who faced 40 balls and scored 50 runs.

The 6th wicket fell on 168 runs when Hardik Pandya played a brilliant shot and became a hit wicket. He played an excellent inning of 63 runs off 33 balls. His innings included 5 sixes and 4 fours.

On behalf of England, Chris Jordan guided 3 players to the pavilion while Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid took one wicket each.
