Quetta Gladiators's batsman hits 6 sixes on 6 balls in last over of exhibition match of PSL, #IftiMania became top trend on Twitter

In the exhibition match of Quetta Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 8, Quetta Gladiators’ middle order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed hit sixes off Punjab’s Caretaker Sports Minister Wahab Riaz.

In the last over of the first innings during the exhibition match played at the Akbar Bugti Stadium in Quetta, Iftikhar Ahmed hit Peshawar Zalmi fast bowler Wahab Riaz for 6 sixes in 6 balls.

Iftikhar Ahmad played an unbeaten offensive inning of 94 runs off 50 balls, thanks to which Quetta Gladiators scored 185 runs against Peshawar Zalmi for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

In response, Peshawar Zalmi’s team managed to score 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and Quetta Gladiators managed to win the first match at their home ground. Iftikhar Ahmed was declared Man of the Match for playing a stormy inning of 94 runs off 50 balls and taking 2 wickets.

Iftikhar Ahmad hit 6 sixes in Wahab Riaz’s last over, after which ‘Iftimania’ became the top trend on Twitter and memes abounded.

After the match, interesting sentences have been exchanged between Wahab Riaz and Iftikhar Ahmed on the field. Wahab Riaz while praising Iftikhar Ahmed said that hitting 6 sixes whenever he wants is a big thing and eating six sixes is also a matter of courage.

Islamabad United captain and national team all-rounder Shadab Khan has made an interesting comment on Iftikhar Ahmed’s 6 sixes.

Shadab Khan wrote in his tweet that my younger brother Iftikhar Ahmed did not even consider the sports minister, but don’t take the minister lightly, he can bounce back. Shadab wrote that he was happy to see the love and support of the people in Quetta. They deserve the best.
