Meghan and Harry Son’s American Accent Startles Britain

The 18-month old toddler has joined his parents on The Holiday Special episode of the podcast

The former royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s toddler son “Archie” was heard speaking for the first time in a podcast released by the couple but to the chagrin of the British, what he uttered was an American accent which probably set many Britishers “ablaze”.

The 18-month old toddler has joined his parents, who have signed a multi-year deal with Spotify, a digital music service, on The Holiday Special episode of the podcast.

Archie’s giggles and his voice can be heard for the first time in public. He half-spoke his first words on the podcast saying “Happy New yew” which stirred the debate over his “American or British” accent.

The Duke and Duchess earlier this year made an announcement that they are intending to leave their place as senior royals and willing to embark on a financially independent life in the United States (US).

Since their cease of royal duties and the start of a new chapter in California, the couple has been busy with various creative ventures including their deal with Spotify to record “uplifting and entertaining stories”.

Archie’s appearance during the first podcast with parents has stirred a frenzy, triggering a debate over his accent as the toddler was born in United Kingdom (UK) and has been growing up in the U.S.

As per Rebecca, Royal Editor, Daily Mail London, “Archie very much has an American accent”.

Some of the royal fans came up criticizing his American accent.

However, a few came up lauding the cute little new year wish from Archie along with Meghan and Harry.
