Islooites-Karachiites Engage in ‘First Open Air Cinema’ Debate

WEB DESK: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced to open a drive-in cinema in Islamabad.

Islamabad District Commissioner (DC) Hamza Shafqaat hinted about the plan while replying to a Twitter user who earlier requested the launch of a car cinema in the capital territory.

Islooites are in for a treat as during the pandemic, people are forced to maintain social distance with almost zero outdoor activities, this initiative can keep citizens entertained during the lockdown.

However, Karachiites are trolling over claims of locals of Islamabad that it was the first city to have an open air screening facility. ‘first city Islamabad’ to have a car cinema.

Trolling took off online on Twitter by the locals of the largest city declaring that Karachi had witnessed car cinemas way back in 1980s.
