J.K. Rowling reveals death threats

The Harry Potter author had criticised the transgenders after which protests continued against her.

J K Rowling, the Harry Potter author, said she had received death threats after three transgender rights activists posted her home address on social media network Twitter.

The author thanked the Scotland police for extending their support to her after the transgender rights activists tweeted their photograph standing outside her home in Edinburgh. Her home address was visible in the picture.

Taking to Twitter, the world renowned author said: “Last Friday, my family’s address was posted on Twitter by three activist actors who took pictures of themselves in front of our house, carefully positioning themselves to ensure that our address was visible.

 

According to the details, the 56-year-old writer had complained to the Scotland police that she was receiving letters carrying death threats. When the police investigation was launched, it was found that the author criticised the transgenders, after which three transgender rights activists protested in front of the author’s house and shared a photo on social media in which the author’s home address was very clear. Later, the opponents started sending letters carrying death threats to her.
