WEB DESK: The judiciary has remained in a commanding position over the last decade in the country. The lawyers’ movement in 2007 inflated new energy and the judiciary got more active since then.
It is evident looking at the recent past that many issues from commodity crises to mega corruption scandals were settled by courts.
The political parties in the country have had a past of dragging the judiciary into matters which are more of political nature.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Maryam Nawaz said in an interview that they were ready to talk with the establishment.
But, she conditioned that the PTI government must first be sent back home.

At this, Adviser to Prime Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Babar Awan, opined that the path taken by PML-N can make its future dark.
He said that the party could be banned for demanding such things if the matter is taken to a court.
Pakistan has held a long-history when the fates of various political issues were decided by the judiciary.

Nawaz Sharif ousted

Yousuf Gillani sent packing
Former Prime Minister Yousif Raza Gillani was also deposed from the office by the apex court.There are numerous other incidents where courts became the center of attention and the trend is reviving once again.
The opposition parties reached the court when the government tried to restrict Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) gatherings.
The same happened when Nawaz Sharif, being a fugitive, was banned from speeches.
However, some human rights organizations and journalists knocked on the court’s doors against the ban.
Can PML-N face a tough situation?
However, things may go sour for PML-N this time after it maintained that the only way for dialogues with the establishment was the removal of the incumbent government.
As suggested by Awan, PML-N may get embroiled if the judiciary is connected again.
The evolution of national politics is hinting at courts becoming the epicenter of outcomes in the near future again.
