Kamala Harris Shares Family’s Cornbread Recipe on Thanksgiving

Vice-President elect once stated that her mother told her to better learn how to cook if she loved to eat good food

WEB DESK: United States Vice-President elect, Kamala Harris highlighted her love for cooking through an Instagram post broadcasting her family’s Thanksgiving cornbread recipe.

Being the daughter of an Indian mother and Jamaican father, Kamala Harris made history this year by becoming, not only the first female vice president elect.

But also the first vice president of color, creating hope in women all over US.

Thanksgiving is a vital national holiday, celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November every year.

This holiday is imperfect without the main dish around which this holiday is centered, also known as Turkey.

In an interview with The Cut back in 2018, she mentioned that she loves to read recipes from the collection of cookbooks that she has at home.

Kamala once stated that her mother told her to better learn how to cook if she loved to eat good food.

Back in 2018, she shared a tweet about her cornbread dressing, adding that the holiday would be incomplete without it.

This year, she stepped further ahead and revealed her family’s cornbread dressing recipe through her Instagram account.

Harris shared a series of pictures, each lined with instructions or ingredients on how to complete the cornbread recipe.

This is not the first time Harris has publicized her cooking skills.

Earlier, she made masala dosa with Mindy Kaling and tuna melts with Senator Mark Warner in videos.
