Jawad Ahmed Pays Tribute to Peasants With “Kisana”

The singer has released the song at a time when the protests by farmers in India are underway

Pakistani singer Jawad Ahmad releases his new song “Kisana” to pay tribute to all the peasants around the world and seemingly especially to those who are protesting in India for their rights.

It seems like farmers’ protests in India have been reverberating in Pakistan as well and singer Jawad Ahmed has released the song to support the ongoing protests in India.

Jawad Ahmad has captioned the three-minute-long song as “Kisana”, a Punjabi word for farmers, and sings about the significance peasants hold in our lives.

The lyrics say, “Teri sohni dharti mata, tu jag da palan har, hun tu jeea hai”.

Jawad Ahmad addressed the Prime Minister, President & General DC, Judge & Police Officer and maintained that “All eat what you make they’ll all be dead of hunger if you don’t sow & reap they are all servants and you the provider”.

“Our tribute to all the Peasants of the world”, he captioned his post on Twitter.

Jawad Ahmad is a Pakistani pop singer and musician who enjoyed fandom for many years. His hit songs include Uche Majajaan Wali, Bin Tere, Dosti, Kikli, and Dholna.

Jawad is the founder of a political party named Barabri Party Pakistan (BPP) that came into existence in 2014. BPP contested with 12 candidates in general elections 2018 and all of them belonged to the middle and working classes of Pakistan.

However, the party remained unsuccessful in winning any seat in the elections.
