Sparking a controversy, Shams, a Kuwaiti actress and singer offered marriage to tech billionaire Bill Gates.
She tweeted her admiration for Bill Gates, the Microsoft founder. He was a luminary of the digital age, the Kuwaiti singer said.

Shams described Bill Gates as a smart man. The Microsoft founder is the luminary of the existing digital age, she added.
Shams said that she likes the foresight and knowledge about future of Bill Gates. In her tweet she said: “I am offering to marry him. Do you think he will accept?”.
After the news of her marriage proposal to Bill Gates went viral, the Kuwaiti singer said that her tweet was misinterpreted.
“I am not serious about the marriage offer and the tweet was just a sarcasm,” she clarified.
