Lahore’s 11-year-old Arooj runs channa chat stall to make ends meet
She goes to school in morning and works from 5pm till late night to support her family.
Eleven-year-old Arooj started selling channa chat after the sudden death of his brother and father two years ago.
Her family’s financial problems forced her to start selling channa chat in Lahore’s Johar Town.
Arooj dreamt to become a doctor since her childhood but after the death of father and brother she is supporting her family financially.
The 11-year-old girl’s video has gone viral on the social media.
Arooj told News360 that she had been supporting her family for the last two years by running a food stall. Her family comprises mother, two elder sisters and a younger brother. She and all her siblings are studying.
She said that the company in which her father was employed had given them a house to live in for two years. The firm also gives us Rs15,000 monthly. It has been one-and-half-year living in the house and only six more months are left to vacate it.

Arooj said that she goes to school in the morning and works from 5pm till late night at the food stall.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had recently announced Rs300,000 for Arooj’s family.
Arooj urged the government to provide her family a house and financial support to complete education so that she could become a doctor.
