Eyeing eighth straight win, Clippers battle Bulls

The up and coming Los Angeles Clippers look forward to their eighth straight win when they take on the guest Chicago Bulls on Sunday night.
Los Angeles play the second leg on Sunday, shortly after their seventh win in a row, 129102, on Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Chicago opened a five-game road swing in the Western Conference on Friday with an 11,993 loss to Golden State, owner of the NBA’s best record.
“It really is our first adversity (of the season),” said DeMar DeRozan in his post-game press conference on Friday. “Adversity builds a lot of character, so I’m pretty sure we’ll see a lot of movies tomorrow and find out what we can do and get better in the (for) next game.”
The landslide loss reduced Chicago to 23 of its last five after 61 starts, and it also marked the Bulls’ first double-digit loss of the year.
DeRozan and Zach LaVine were the only bulls to score double digits in the Golden State with 18 and 23 points, respectively. LaVine also committed to seven turnovers, part of Chicago’s 20 in-game.
The Bulls have an average of 13 seasonal sales, the fourth lowest in the league. The Clippers now have one of the league’s strongest defenses.
Los Angeles only forced 10 on Saturday, but the Clippers limited the Timberwolves to less than 40 percent, which shot up at 40 out of 102.
Sunday is Chicago’s first of consecutive games in Los Angeles and a homecoming for his entire starting place.
DeRozan is from nearby Compton, California and played college at USC. LaVine and Lonzo Ball both played at UCLA and Ball is from the Chino Hills suburb of Los Angeles.
