Maria Memon announces Dr Salma Memon Scholarship Program at IBA
Under the program, established in the loving memory of her late mother, a female student will be paid 100pc fees.
TV anchorperson Maria Memon has announced Dr Salma Memon Scholarship Program at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), in the loving memory of her late mother.
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) made the announcement on Twitter.
We are pleased to announce the establishment of Dr Salma Memon Scholarship Program at IBA by renowned journalist, Ms. @Maria_Memon in the loving memory of her late mother.

According to the tweet, the scholarship will fund the education of a female student at the IBA.
The prestigious educational institute appreciated the generous act by Maria Memon.

IBA Karachi has also shared the video message of Maria Memon in which the TV anchor said:” When parents leave the world, we try to move their legacy. To keep mother’s memory alive after her, I found the most appropriate way to establish a scholarship in her name. I have founded Dr. Salma Memon the scholarship program in partnership with IBA Karachi this month. Under the program, a female student who could not get education due to expenses despite coming on merit will be paid 100 per cent fee. It is definitely a great charity to support someone’s education in the name of parents.”
Renowned journalist Umair Alvi, paying tribute to Maria Memon, wrote that this is “the best move.”
