Netizens slam Maryam Nawaz’s ‘I’m the coach’ tweet

maryam nawaz tweet nawaz sharif coach netizens

Netizens have reacted differently on Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s satirical tweet, saying, “I’m the coach” with a picture of Nawaz Sharif.

PML-N VP Maryam Nawaz had posted a picture of her father Nawaz Sharif, seemingly a screenshot from his address via video conference to the workers in Lahore yesterday. She captioned, “I heard you’re a player. Nice to meet you, I’m the coach…..”

With this tweet, Maryam Nawaz has hinted at returning to the political field after the conclusion of her son Junaid Safdar’s post-wedding festivities a few days. However, the tweet did go well with the PML-N supporters, however, a series of comments showed the other side.

She targeted political rival, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, without naming him by saying, “I heard you’re a player. Nice to meet you, I’m the coach…..”

A user named Fatah suggested Maryam Nawaz and said she needs to increase her maturity level a few levels being a political leader.

A user wrote with a picture, “Coach with his players.”

Another commented, “I heard you’re the coach? Nice to meet you i am the head coach”

A user named Ayesha commented, “Just imagine Mickey Arthur or Misbah standing there and parroting off instructions to each player via a parchi & then emptying everyone’s bank account, all under the pretext of coaching. We heard you’re neither player nor coach, unpleasant to meet you, we’re the reality check 4 u.”

It may be noted here that the major political parties have expedited preparations for upcoming local government (LG) elections in Punjab province and top leaders started consultations for finalising strategy.
