Nazim Jokhio murder case: Interior Minister orders PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim’s arrest

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has ordered the arrest of PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim who is facing charges of murder of Nazim Jokhio.

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has ordered the arrest of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Jam Abdul Karim who is facing charges of murder of Nazim Jokhio.

Sheikh Rasheed, while addressing a press conference in Islamabad today, said that PPP MPA Jam Abdul Karim will be arrested upon his arrival in the federal capital from Dubai.

He said that the murder suspect is being brought to Pakistan from Dubai ahead of voting on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said, ‘The [alleged] murderer of Nazim Jokhio is arriving in Islamabad from Dubai. We will also refer his name to the Interpol.”

Rasheed said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director-general and the Inspector General (IG) Sindh police for Abdul Karim’s arrest from the airport.

Ahead of the political rallies in Islamabad, the interior minister said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) had requested permission to hold a rally and its senator assured on maintaining law and order.

He added that the federal authorities will fully cooperate with them if they follow the regulations.
