Should Public Representatives Play Politics on Every Issue?

Bilawal Bhutto welcomed the decision, while Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Head Nawaz Sharif ‘rejected’ the inquiry report.

WEB DESK: Although Pakistan Army removed two officials of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Pakistan Rangers Sindh, who were involved in the ‘Karachi incident’. The action taken by the army gave a chance to the public representatives, which they did not abstain from seizing and the rhetoric and leg-pulling is still continues.

Some still nit-picked the inquiry report while others welcomed it.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto welcomed the decision and said that such moves of self-accountability increase the credibility of institutions.

However, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Head Nawaz Sharif ‘rejected’ the inquiry report.

He tweeted that the report was a cover-up scapegoating juniors and shielding the real perpetrators.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi jumped at it too.

He tweeted that ISPR had issued a statement on the issue of IG Sindh. The decision to remove the officers also came to light.

Now will the Sindh government take action against the police officers involved in the mutiny or will it remain asleep as usual?

Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Shibli Faraz also made hay and criticized Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

He highlighted that Bilawal welcoming the army’s move, while Nawaz rejecting it determined the aimlessness of the opposition parties’ movement.

The question that must be asked from the public representatives whether they should criticize on every occasion.

Can the politics be not set aside on some issues as sensitive as this was?

Shouldn’t the government officials wait for the provincial government’s report before lampooning the Sindh government?

The inquiry committee formed by the Sindh government still has 10 days left to submit its report.

It should at least be given time until the deadline.
