Some netizens think Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz tried to copy Hollywood actor Angelina Jolie’s style during her visit to the flood-hit areas from Lahore-Multan-Taunsa Sharif.
Maryam Nawaz travelled from Lahore to Multan to Taunsa Sharif amid heavy security measures to meet the flood affectees in the disaster-hit areas yesterday.
Videos have surfaced on social media that reportedly showed the security convoy of Maryam Nawaz initially comprised 23 vehicles when she left Lahore. The security convoy reportedly ended up in at least 60 vehicles when she reached Taunsa Sharif to visit to the flood-hit areas.
Alongside criticism regarding Maryam’s VIP protocol, netizens also blamed the PML-N VP for copying Angelina Jolie’s style by wearing the same black-coloured dress and posing for photos with the flood victims. Jolie had visited Pakistan after the 2010 floods and met the affected people.

During her visit, Maryam Nawaz met flood victims and expressed sorrow over their losses caused by record torrential rains and disastrous floods.
