The Golden State Warriors will meet the New Orleans Pelicans at the Chase Center on Friday. The Pelicans have a five-game losing streak while the Warriors get off to a quick start with a record 61.

The New Orleans Pelicans were defeated by the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday 112-99. The Pelicans had to do without Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, two of their best players. Despite the circumstances, the pelicans managed to stay in the game until the fourth quarter when they passed out.

Meanwhile, the Warriors maintained their excellent start to the season by defeating the Charlotte Hornets 114-92 last Wednesday. The game was competitive in the first half, but Golden State pulled back in the second half due to Jordan Poole’s outstanding performance.

New Orleans Pelicans Injury Report

Against the Golden State Warriors, the New Orleans Pelicans have four players on the handicap list.Brandon Ingram and Herb Jones are listed as questionable while Zion Williamson and Daulton Hommes are listed as excluded.

Williamson is recovering from surgery to repair a broken foot he had in the off-season. He continues to strive to get fit for the season after arriving overweight at training camp. Hommes is now recovering from a fatigue fracture in his right fibula.

Jones is on the league’s concussion record while Ingram has missed three games in a row due to a right hip injury. Both players are listed daily and rated during the game against the Warriors.

Golden State Warriors Injury Update

The Golden State Warriors face the New Orleans Pelicans in good shape, with the only two players on their handicap list for Friday’s game are Klay Thompson and James Wiseman.

Thompson and Wiseman are still hesitating from their offseason operations.Due to serious injuries, Thompson has not played a game in more than two years. He tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in the 2019 NBA Finals before tearing his right Achilles tendon in the 2020 off-season. He is recovering from surgery on his right knee late last season to repair a torn meniscus. Thompson and Wiseman are expected to return this season.
