One of Apple-1 computers is up for auction and could sell for up to $400,000.
The Apple-1, which will be auctioned on Tuesday, is one of the few surviving copies of Apple’s first computer in the world, according to John Moran Auctioneers.
The bundle includes an Apple-1 “NTI” motherboard and an Apple cassette adapter in a koa wood case, as well as a Datanetics Rev D keyboard, a 1986 Panasonic video monitor, an Apple-1 connecting cable and a power supply, the listing says.

It also comes with an Apple-1 Computers Basic Manual, Apple-1 Operation Guide, an original MOS 6502 Programming Manual, and two Apple-1 software cassette tapes.
The computer was designed by Steve Wozniak and assembled and tested by Steve Jobs.
The Apple-1 for sale has only had two owners. This particular specimen was purchased by an electronics teacher, who later sold it to a student in 1977, the auctioneer said.
“This Apple-1 has recently undergone an extensive authentication, restoration and evaluation process by one of the leading experts in the field, who inspected all components and generated a complete status report for the Apple-1.” said the auctioneer.
