Pakistan hosts first European Film Festival
Three European films were screened at the event in Islamabad, with showbiz and TV personalities participating in panel discussion.
For the first time in Pakistan, the European Film Festival premiered at the National Council Arts in Islamabad. The European Film Festival will showcase various European films and cultures in order to promote cultural ties and promote intercultural relations.
Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry was the chief guest at the event. Thomas Sailor, Charge d’Affaires of the EU Delegation said that we are very happy to host the first European Film Festival in Pakistan.

He said that the festival would promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue through cinema, which was a sign that the European Union was striving for stronger ties with Pakistan, especially at the public and local levels.

The opening ceremony of the festival screened three films, two of which were feature films, My Brother Chases Dinosaurs and Our Struggle feature films, while Hungry Seagull was a short film.
The screening of the films was followed by a panel discussion on family relations, which included Pakistani film and TV personalities, with the participation of Elena Gomez, Deputy Head of the Spanish Diplomatic Mission.
