Partial Attendance, No Mass Gathering: NCOC Revised Restrictions

The long-awaited decision of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has been announced and it maintained not to lift restrictions besides some additional strictures amid the rising cases of coronavirus in Pakistan.

Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan conducted the briefing along with Federal Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mehmood and claimed that there has been a spike in coronavirus cases in Pakistan during past two weeks.

The decision has been taken after an extensive observation by the nerve center of coronavirus operations, maintained Faisal Sultan.

“Schools in seven cities of Punjab province including Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Gujarat, Rawalpindi, and Sialkot will remain closed for next 15 days”, as per NCOC.

“The situation in Sindh and Balochistan is under control and it has been decided 50% students will come to school”, maintained the education minister.

The body also announced to close parks after 6 pm throughout Pakistan, whereas the offices in the federal capital Islamabad will operate with only 50% attendance.

The decision to open cinema halls from March 15 has been withdrawn and a ban has been imposed on dine-in in the restaurants and hotels.

NCOC emphasized the people wear a facemask and implement precautionary guidelines to stem coronavirus until vaccination goes public.
