PM Imran Khan decries world’s silence over India’s war crimes in IIOJK
Imran Khan decries world’s silence over continuous violation of UNSC resolutions, international conventions and humanitarian laws in IIOJK.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again raised voice for stopping India’s war crimes and oppression in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
On Kashmiris’ Right to Self-Determination Day today, Imran Khan has decried the world’s silence over the continuously violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, international conventions and humanitarian laws by India in IIOJK.
He said in a Twitter message, “The UNSC commitment of a UN-supervised plebiscite in Kashmir remains unfulfilled as the Hindutva Modi govt brazenly violates UNSC resolutions, int humanitarian laws & int conventions incl 4th Geneva Convention; & commits war crimes by seeking to alter status & demography of IIOJK.”
PM Imran Khan said that international community, especially the UN, must take action on India’s war crimes & crimes against humanity in IIOJK as Kashmiris continue to reject and resist Indian occupation a oppression.
“Pakistan remains steadfast in its commitment to the just Kashmiri struggle for self-determination,” added the premier.

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world are observing the Right to Self-Determination Day, today, to reaffirm their resolve to continue their freedom struggle till they achieve their right to self-determination.
On this day in 1949, the United Nations Security Council had passed a resolution recognizing the Kashmiris’ right to decide their future by themselves through UN-sponsored plebiscite.
The day will be marked by various activities including rallies, seminars and conferences across the world to remind the UN of its obligation of implementing its relevant resolutions to settle the Kashmir dispute to save the Kashmiris from the Indian brutalities.
The 05 January 1949 resolution provides the base for settlement of the Kashmir dispute. It is unfortunate that the World Body has failed to implement its resolutions, resulting in the continued sufferings of the Kashmiri people.
