PML-Q, not a threat to Centre but Buzdar
Party’s core committee decides to support govt in parliament but not in Punjab
The government has reconvened the joint parliament session today that was cancelled last week. The development came after the PTI-led government has managed to allay the concerns of its allied parties mainly the PML-Q and the MQM-P. Sources said that the government has removed concerns of the PML-Q and other allies especially concerning the electrical reforms.
They said that the PML-Q’s central executive committee, which met on Sunday, although, agreed to support the PTI-led government in the parliament on a number of bills including the electronic voting machines (EVM), but decided not to extend anymore cooperation to the Buzdar-led Punjab government.

The PML-Q has put the federal government into difficult situation where it will manage to get the bills concerning electoral reforms passed but will have to bring a major change in the Punjab government setup.
Political pundits are expecting a major change in the Punjab government in the coming days. The PML-Q is not happy with the Buzdar-led government in Punjab and they want Prime Minister Imran Khan to replace the chief minister.
Now, the PTI’s allies especially the PML-Q are not the real threat to the Centre but to Usman Buzdar.
Yesterday, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the electoral reforms is a national agenda and not that of a Imran Khan or Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Taking to Twitter, the federal minister called upon the political parties to come forward to finalise the electoral reforms.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has also summoned a meeting of the PTI leadership today before the joint parliament session.
Sources said that the bills to be tabled in the today’s joint session will be discussed in the meeting.
