Where do PPP, PML-N get signal to race for power?
PPP and PML-N have seemingly begun a race for making claims to come into power following an alleged assurance from the power centres.
Major opposition parties, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) have boosted efforts to take lead in giving statements hinting at being reached for an alleged ‘deal’ that will topple the incumbent government led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
PTI is currently going through the trauma of the KP LG polls’ defeat which led Imran Khan to change the whole organisational setup of his political party to get solid results in the upcoming LG elections in Punjab. The organisational engagements have apparently diverted the PTI’s attention to counter such narratives of the opposition parties.
Following the defeat of PTI in the recent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Local Government (LG) polls, the PPP and PML-N have seemingly begun a race for making claims of getting assurance from the power centres to give them an opportunity to gain power.
The question is still lying in the dark about the source of light for the PPP and PML-N that illuminated the path of the major opposition parties to go ahead with their plans. Each political party is claiming to be blue-eyed and going to gain power in the coming days.
PML-N had earlier announced the return of Nawaz Sharif to the country besides naming Shahbaz Sharif as a frontrunner in the upcoming polls. Interestingly, the narratives of setting a deal are going parallel to its stance of honouring vote power.
PPP leadership had been observing the 14th death anniversary of late Benazir Bhutto yesterday in which the central leaders hinted at coming into power in the country.
Former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had made consecutive statements of being contacted by power centres to seek a ‘formula’ to get rid of the incumbent government and chances to allow them coming into power.
However, both opposition parties did not give a clear view regarding the time and mechanism of change that will be cleared after the dust settled down. The political parties should clarify themselves from where they are getting assured and empowered to run freestyle campaigns full of claims to get into power.
