PSL 9th edition: Naseem Shah and siblings to play for Islamabad United

Islamabad United franchise has picked Naseem Shah and his two brothers for the upcoming HBL PSL edition 9th squad.

Pakistan’s Super League 9th installment to begin in the next year and the schedule of the event will be announced soon.

A day earlier, franchises finalized the squads for the PSL 2024 at National Cricket Academy, over 480 players from 22 countries registered themselves to participate in the event.

Champions of editions 2016 and 2018 Islamabad United selected Naseem Shah and his brothers Hunain Shahb and Ubaid Shah to complete their squad.

Naseem’s younger 20-year-old Hunain has been playing domestic cricket for two years 17-year-old Ubaid is shining in junior cricket U19 Asia Cup currently going on.

It happened for the first time that three brothers have been selected in the same squad in PSL’s history.

Jordan Cox, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, Tymal Mills, Azam Khan, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, Alex Hales, Colin Munro, Matthew Forde, Salman Ali Agha, Qasim Akram, Shahab Khan, Rumman Raees, Hunain Shah, Ubaid Shah, Shamyl Hussain, and Tom Curran are part of the squad.

Remember, Naseem Shah has started the final stage of his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
