PTI challenges appointment of Mohsin Naqvi as Caretaker CM in Supreme Court

Tehreek-e-Insaf as a political party and Asad Umar as secretary general filed petition, appointment of Raja Riaz as leader of opposition and appointment of 2 members of Election Commission Babar Hassan Bharwana and Ikramullah Khan are also challenged in the Supreme Court.

Tehreek-e-Insaf as a political party and Asad Umar as party secretary general have filed an application in the Supreme Court, in which Mohsin Naqvi has been requested to be stopped from working as caretaker chief minister. The petition further said that the notification of appointment of Mohsin Naqvi as Caretaker Chief Minister should be declared unconstitutional.

Tehreek-e-Insaaf has adopted a position in the petition that Mohsin Naqvi should be declared neutral as caretaker chief minister. Tehreek-e-Insaf has also challenged the notification of making Raja Riaz the leader of the opposition. In the petition, it has been requested that the appointment of Election Commission members Babar Hassan Bharwana and Ikramullah Khan should also be declared unconstitutional.

Former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan had announced a protest against the Election Commission’s decision rejecting the appointment of Mohsin Naqvi as caretaker prime minister.

Imran Khan had also announced that he is going to court against the date of the elections and the appointment of the caretaker chief minister. While the former chief minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi rejected the appointment and announced that he would go to the Supreme Court against it. .

Imran Khan said that demonstrations will be held in different cities every day to save the future of the country. He blamed the caretaker chief minister and said that we do not recognize this man who has come under an agenda. Khan said that behind the appointment of caretaker chief minister are the same people who attacked Imran Khan.
