PTI files petition in LHC for timely holding of general elections in Punjab

PTI's lawyer, Barrister Ali Zafar, has taken a stand in petition filed in the Lahore High Court that after dissolution of assembly, governor has to announce elections according to the constitution, but Balighur Rehman is guilty of violating his oath and the constitution.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Lahore High Court for the timely schedule of general elections in Punjab. In the application, Governor Punjab has been made a party by the Secretary.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court for the timely conduct of general elections in Punjab, in which Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman has been made a party.

In the petition filed in the Lahore High Court through the mediation of PTI’s lawyer, Barrister Ali Zafar, it has been argued that the governor should announce the election immediately after the dissolution of the assembly.

In the petition filed in the Lahore High Court, it has been said that after the dissolution of the assembly, the governor has to announce general elections in the province according to the constitution, but the announcement was not made even after 10 days.

In the request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, it has been requested that the Lahore High Court should issue immediate instructions to Governor Balighur Rehman to give the date of general elections in the province.

In the petition filed in the court through the mediation of Barrister Ali Zafar, it has been stated that ten days have passed since the dissolution of the assembly, but the date of election has not been announced yet.

Tehreek-e-Insaf has said in its petition that the governor of Punjab is not announcing the date of election, which is a violation of the constitution, while the governor is guilty of violating his oath.
