Playing Rubab, the king of music in Pakistan and Afghanistan is generally considered a difficult art.
However, despite increasing popularity of pop music, the importance of instruments like rubab has not diminished.
Pashto music has a long history and it is also mentioned in ancient books, but whenever it comes to traditional pashto music the rabab cannot be ignored.
The culture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is incomplete without this instrument.
Its beautiful to listen this instrument. The process of making the instrument is also interesting. In fact, it takes a lot of time to make a rubab and only skilled artist can make it. A minor mistake of the artist can spoil the entire process of its manufacturing.
