Saqib Nisar’s audio leak: Will news of Ahmed Noorani prove true?

The reporter had apologised for publishing wrong news in The News on Panama leaks in 2017.

The alleged audio of former chief justice Saqib Nisar has been released by Ahmed Noorani, a journalist associated with “Fact Focus”.

Former chief justice Saqib Nisar is heard in the alleged audio saying: “Unfortunately, our powerful institutions are saying that Mian Sahib has to be punished, and it has been said that we have to bring Imran Khan.”
On the other hand, the audio tape said, “there is no case against the daughter.”

 

 

Justice (retd) Saqib Nisar replied, in the audio clip, :”You are absolutely justified, I told my friends to do something on it, but my friends did not agree with me. Independence of judiciary will also compromise.”

In the alleged audio tape, Justice (retd) Saqib Nisar said that although there is no case against Maryam Nawaz, she will be punished again.

Meanwhile, former chief justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has denied the audio clip describing it as a fake.

While talking to the media, the former chief justice said that the audio clip attributed to him is absolutely fake. He said he heard the audio clip too.

When the anchor of a private TV channel asked Saqib Nisar if you would take any action against this audio clip, he said: “I am  thinking what legal action could be taken.”

Fact Focus journalist Ahmed Noorani claimed that the forensic of the audio recording had been conducted by an American company, claiming the voice is real.

It should be noted that journalist Ahmed Noorani had apologized for giving the wrong news about Panama leaks in a story published in The News on 12 July, 2017.
