The senior journalist picked excerpts from a news story and put the words of a Europe-based diplomat into the mouth of EU’s spokesperson
Senior Pakistani journalist endorsed the statement of Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry who said that the social media platforms are used to spread negative propaganda against Pakistan.
Senior journalist Murtaza Solangi shared a link to a news story of the interview of the Spokesperson for the European Commission, Daniel Ferrie.
He picked excerpts from the news story and put the words of a Europe-based diplomat into the mouth of EU’s spokesperson.

In the caption of the tweet shared by journalist Murtaza Solangi, he wrote, “EU advises Pakistan not to issue rhetorical statements against international institutions, particularly UN-affiliated institutions like the FATF”.

“Such statements are not only counterproductive but also harmful to Pakistan’s interest”, Solangi also mentioned in the caption.
The statement was given by a diplomat as mentioned in the news story and not what Solangi said.
However, the journalist tried to put the words of the diplomat into the EU official’s mouth and put his share in spreading negative propaganda.
In his address in the National Assembly (NA) on Monday, the federal information minister had pointed that social media was a major tool in spreading negative propaganda against Pakistan and it was a depiction.
