According to News 360’s sources, the consultation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his allies in this regard has been completed.
Addressing the Faisalabad rally, former Prime Minister and Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan said, appointment of the new Army Chief should be based on merit.

Sources of News 360 had told several days ago that September 10 to 15 are very important because Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will announce the appointment of the Army Chief during these dates.
Sources have told News 360 that all the preparations regarding the appointment of the Army Chief are complete and the delay is probably due to the current flood situation.
Sources have also informed that the consultation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s elder brother, Co-Chairman People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari, and leaders of other allied parties regarding the appointment of the Army Chief has been completed.
Analysts say that Imran Khan has also talked about the appointment of new army chief in his address, while Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari have also been declared security risks to the country, which means clearly that the chairman Tehreek-e-Insaaf has found out who the new army chief is. Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif agree, but Khan objected.
Analysts say that Imran Khan in his speech also explored the old history related to Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari. That Imran Khan has come out openly regarding the appointment of new army chief and he will oppose any army chief who is appointed without merit.
