Shahbaz Sharif is Looking for PML-N Allies in Karachi
Political analysts say, PML-N president contacts with Mustafa Kamal and Farooq Sattar are aimed at making room for the party in Karachi
In view of the ongoing political turmoil in the country, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has changed his political strategy and intensified contacts with the mainstream leadership of Sindh province and especially Karachi.
PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif had telephoned Pak Sarzamin Party chief Mustafa Kamal two days ago while on Friday he had met former MQM convener Farooq Sattar at his residence.

On December 2, Shahbaz Sharif telephoned PSP chief Mustafa Kamal and expressed concern over the rising inflation situation across the country.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif also discussed the overall political situation in the country. He also consulted with Mustafa Kamal on the EVM and the law to be passed regarding local body elections in Sindh.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the government has handed over the country’s economic lifeline Karachi to the IMF. The two leaders agreed to continue their contacts.
On the other hand, former MQM convener and senior leader Farooq Sattar met PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif at his residence yesterday.
The two leaders discussed electoral reforms, the deteriorating inflation situation, the anti-government long march and changes in the local government system in Sindh.
Political analysts are linking the change of opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif to a political strategy. He said that the PML-N president was in touch with PSP and MQM rehabilitation committee chairman Farooq Sattar to revive his party in Karachi and was trying to make a seat adjustment for the upcoming local body elections. So that PTI and PPP can be given tough time.
Political analysts say that in the general elections, the PTI had won 30 seats in Karachi with a huge dent, while the PML-N had failed to win a single seat. Taking advantage of the public anger against the PPP government, PML-N president is trying to regain space.
