Shaniera Defies Plastic Use, Calls Out Food Giants
Use of non-degradable plastic at a massive scale in Pakistan added by the insensitivity of the people has contributed largely to the plastic pollution
Social activist and wife of the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Shaniera Akram, has called for food outlets to resort to using bio-degradable utensils and paraphernalia instead of non-degradable ones.
She stressed the food giants to come forward and take the initiative to make Pakistan plastic-free by replacing their tools made with single-use plastic.
Food giants in Pakistan need to take responsibility by recycling their own cans, drink bottles, chip packets & food containers they sell us! The best marketing tool today, is the promise of a better tomorrow. You want us to buy your product then start impressing us the right way!
