KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has declared Nimra Kazmi’s marriage ‘legal’ following her medical report presented by the police, whereas, the abduction case was referred to the trial court.
An SHC bench comprising Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro and Justice Agha Faisal conducted the hearing of the Nimra Kazmi abduction case today.
Police presented the medical report before the court. According to the medical report, Nimra Kazmi’s age is between 17 and 18. The court declared the marriage of the couple legal and referred the abduction case to the trial court.
The judge remarked that Kazmi will reach the age limit in two months and she will be allowed to be with her husband after the trial court’s proceedings.
Before the court, Kazmi gave her statement that she was not abducted but married of her own will.

A video statement of Nimrah Kazmi, who went missing from the Saudabad area of Karachi, had surfaced on April 25 which her lawyer reportedly released. She also said that she had married of her own will on April 18 and nobody had abducted her.

Nimrah had said that she is very happy and that all of the videos should be removed from the media. In addition, a video of Nimrah’s marriage certificate also surfaced on social media in which she is telling the nikahkhawan that she is 18-years-old while in another video she can also be seen with her husband, Najeeb Shahrukh.

Police had said that the couple had contacted each other through PUBG online game.
