Indian batsman Shubman Gill scored his second century in the ODI home series against New Zealand, equaling Pakistan captain Babar Azam’s record for the highest score in a series.

In 2016, Babar Azam made a record 360 runs by scoring 3 centuries in three ODI series against West Indies.

Shubhman Gill scored 112 off just 78 balls in Indore on Tuesday, his fourth ODI century overall and second of the series. Earlier in the match played in Hyderabad, the opener scored 208 runs and became the fifth Indian batsman to score a double century in ODIs.

With the latest innings, Shubhman Gill’s total score in the series reached 360 runs, he scored 40 runs in the second ODI. Shubham Mangill scored 360 runs in the series, the most in a bilateral ODI series of three or less matches. The record of scoring runs has been equaled.

In 2016, Babar Azam scored 360 runs by scoring three centuries in three matches during the series against West Indies. Gill has made a brilliant start to his ODI career, scoring 1254 runs in 21 matches at an average of 73.76 and a strike rate of 109.80. The young batsman became the fastest Indian and second fastest world batsman by completing 1000 runs in his 19th ODI innings in the series.
