KARACHI: The Sindh government has granted ‘$30,000’ funds to two of its senior government officers including deputy commissioner (DC) South Abdul Sattar Isani for their medical treatment abroad.

Despite the economic crisis, the Sindh government issued hefty funds to the senior government officers, DC South Abdul Sattar Isani and a senior officer of a security institution Jahangir Mughal, to receive medical treatment abroad.

It was learnt that Isani and Mughal received serious burn wounds in a blaze during a party, however, the reason for the fire was not yet known. They were shifted to Aga Khan Hospital and later shifted to Patel Hospital’s Burns Ward.

Sources said that they will be transported to Dubai at the expense of the Sindh government and if their health condition does not improve then they will be taken to London for plastic surgery.

They added that $30,000 would be the only departure expenses while the medical expenditures will also be borne by the provincial government.
