Supreme Court orders demolition of Tejori Heights within four weeks

Court remarks that strict action will be taken against the builder if court orders did not implement.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued an order to demolish the Tejori Heights located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area in four weeks.

The Supreme Court has issued a written order to raze the Tejori Heights in Karachi.

The decision has been penned by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed.

Justice Gulzar Ahmed wrote in order that the time to demolish the Tejori Heights will start from 29 October 2021. Demolition of building and lifting of debris will be monitored by the Karachi Commissioner Iqbal Memon himself.

The decision states that before the demolition of the building, the management of the building should remove all the booking files and important papers from the structure in the presence of the commissioner.

According to the written order, the commissioner will maintain a  booking inventory of all files. Complete addresses and accounts details of those booked apartments should be entered in the inventory. After completing inventories, the commissioner will submit a report to the Supreme Court.

According to the decision, the management of the Tejori Heights will submit the report to the Supreme Court after demolishing the building in 4 weeks and clearing the debris.

The management of Tejori Heights will pay compensation within three months to allottees. The builder should ensure full implementation of this decision.

The judgment states that strict action will be taken against the Tejori Height administration for not implementing on the orders.
