Earlier, The Legend of Maula Jatt became the first Pakistani film to cross the milestone of over Rs80 crore worldwide in its opening week.

Despite the non-cooperation of 3 major cinema chains in Pakistan, Nueplex, Cineplex and CineStar, the film earned Rs11.3 crore on the first day and a total of Rs20.3 crore in the entire week.

The film was also a success in North America in the first week and made a business of Rs 20.77 crore. Last day, the movie became the first Pakistani film to make a million-dollar business in North America.

Considering the popularity of the film and the strong demand from the audience, the release of the film has increased by more than 100 screens worldwide in the second week.

Pakistan’s biggest and most expensive Punjabi film in Lollywood was released on October 13. It is the remake of blockbuster Punjab movie, Maula Jatt.

The movie reportedly shattered several records as it earned a whopping over Rs90 million on its first day of release, 4.9 crores domestically and 4.4 internationally on 420 screens all over the world.
