The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has decided to impose a booster dose in view of the threat posed by the new Corona virus Omicron, while the Sindh government has imposed new restrictions across the province in view of the new wave of Corona virus.

The important meeting of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) was chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar. In view of the new wave of Code 19 in the meeting, it has been decided to create 3 gates regarding booster dose.

A meeting chaired by NCOC chief Asad Omar has decided to launch a special vaccination campaign in the country from today, December 1.

A briefing was given in the meeting chaired by Federal Minister Asad Umar that the provinces would have to focus more on dealing with the new wave of corona virus, Omicron, and instructions would be given to the provinces in this regard.

The meeting approved three gates for booster dosing. The first category includes people over the age of 50, the second category includes health care workers and the third category includes people with low immunity. The NCOC said that 40 vaccination call centers have been set up across the country.

On the other hand, the Sindh government has said that in view of the threat of new corona virus, travel in tourism, amusement parks, swimming pools and flight will be subject to corona vaccine, participation in events and dyeing will be limited.

The Sindh government has banned 50 per cent of the seats in the C-category districts for 50 per cent vacancies for indoor dining in Karachi. Hotels in Karachi will no longer be able to seat customers in more than 70% of the seats.

The Sindh Home Department said in the order that vaccinated persons are allowed to enter cinema halls across Sindh, business centers can be kept open till 10 pm while all educational institutions will remain open. The new restrictions under the Infectious Diseases Act in Sindh will come into effect by December 15.

The Sindh Home Department has issued a new order regarding Corona SOPs, according to which wedding gatherings of more than 300 people have been banned in Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad Division, Khairpur and Ghotki.

Indoor gatherings of 500 people have been allowed in Sanghar and Sukkur districts and Karachi division. Travel in tourism, amusement parks, swimming pools and in flight will be subject to corona vaccine.

Meanwhile, it has been said that vaccination campaign is better in Karachi division, Sanghar and Sukkur districts therefore they have been included in B category.
