Utah Jazz Host Atlanta Hawks To Open 5-Game Homestand

The Atlanta Hawks play Utah Jazz in an exciting 2021-22 NBA regular season game at Vivint Arena on Tuesday.

SALT LAKE CITY – After one of the toughest season opener travel times, Utah Jazz welcomes the Atlanta Hawks to their first host family game with five games.

The Jazz lost for the first time in a row this season after losing consecutive games in Miami and Orlando to wrap up their road trip in three games.

Meanwhile, the Hawks will take on Jazz for their second game night in a row and their third stop on a four-game road trip.

Jazz Open Long Home Stand
The Jazz have played each of their last seven games in different arenas, with only one home game separating two road trips of three games.

That has been an issue for Jazz up to now, as they still have to play consecutive games in the same state, let alone consecutive home games.

That will change in the coming weeks as the Jazz play their next five opponents in Salt Lake City, with 10 of the next 12 games at home and 16 of the next 22 total.

Utah Jazz will only have six street games before the Christmas break and only two street games for the next four weeks.

The team can use the extra time at home to work on their three-point shot, which has decreased dramatically since last season.

After setting an NBA record for the most 3-mans per game last season, Jazz’s averages fell earlier in the year.

The team’s 16.7 3-a-side game last season dropped to just 13.5 games this year, while the completion rate dropped from 38.9 percent to 31.8 percent.

That brought the jazz of one of the five most efficient shooting teams in the league from the city center to 26th place in the first few weeks of this year.
