West Indies Tour to Pakistan in Jeopardy, 5 More Members Corona Test Positive

Players who tested positive for Corona include Shay Hope, Aqeel Hussain, all-rounder Justin Graves and two other members of squad.

Five more members of the West Indies cricket team on a tour of Pakistan have tested positive for the Covid-19, which increased the chances of the tour being canceled, while the third T20 match of the series is also in jeopardy today.

The management of the West Indies cricket team confirmed on Thursday morning that three more players and two officials of the visiting team have been infected with the corona virus.

The three players affected by the outbreak include wicketkeeper and batsman Shy Hope, left-arm spinner Aqeel Hussain, all-rounder Justin Graves and team physician Dr Akshai Man Singh along with assistant coach Rudy Stoke. A statement issued by the PCB officials said that the victims were tested on the previous day and the result was positive.

According to the PCB, the three players and two officials have been separated from the rest of the squad and quarantined, while the medical staff is keeping a close watch.

The players should be kept in quarantine for at least 10 days until the Corona Test is negative.

It is to be noted that the corona test of three West Indies players also came positive on December 13, while the corona test of 3 more players also came positive today. Similarly, Devon Thomas has also been ruled out of the tour due to finger injury.

According to reports, CWI and PCB officials will hold important meetings regarding the continuation of the tour while the remaining members of the visiting team will undergo Corona test again, to ensure that the tour continues. May or may not.
