The ability to hide your last view and your profile picture is one of the features that users have always wanted. From now on, users can hide their last view, profile picture and notification area from all contacts.
Currently, WhatsApp does not offer users the option to hide from certain contacts. The only thing you can do right now is to hide it from all of your contacts and people whose numbers you haven’t saved.
It’s also important to note that in the current settings, if you hide the last seen, you won’t be able to see the last of your contacts. Likewise, if you deactivate the blue check marks, you will not be able to tell whether the other person has read your message or not.
Wabetainfo shared the screenshot of the feature showing a special “My contacts except” option. Previously there were only three options, including the option to hide your profile photo from Everyone, My Contacts, and Nobody.
For the time being, the option “My contacts except” has been added for beta users. WhatsApp has not yet implemented the stable version of the feature, which means you will not be able to use this feature if you are not a beta tester.
In fact, iOS beta testers won’t get the feature either. It has been made available to selected Android users. If you haven’t received the feature, don’t worry as WhatsApp is gradually enabling the feature for certain beta testers. and after installing the next updates there will be further activations.
